If you take the stairs to increase your life span, you very well may end up spending all those extra years climbing stairs. Whether that’s your definition of quality of life or not, new data shows that lifespans are shortening – only that’s not exactly new or shocking news. Obesity has been a contributing factor to decreased life expectancy in the US for a while now and the pandemic certainly skewed the numbers. So, if we ignore things like the pandemic as a one-off and take factors such as birth rate into account, has the life expectancy of the average American really fluctuated?
