In recent years, a number of public accommodation laws have passed. Similar to the laws prohibiting discrimination people of a different race, these new laws have expanded to include LGBT, religion, and ethnicity as individuals a business that is open to the public must cater to. Despite these laws, 303 Creative owner, Lorie Smith, argues that she be allowed to turn away clients as her graphic design is a form of art used to honor God and may clash with the content clients ask of her. Jack Russo and Professor Robert Acker discuss if 303 Creative holds a solid position claiming that these anti-discrimination laws interfere with her right to freedom of speech.
